March 20, 200620 yr i have a question about the suppression range. I fly jets on atlantic/domestic flights in europe and usa. My suppression range is set to 120. You say on atlantic flights this should be set to 200 nm (because of the staions are more spread). Will then my arrival airport be used as destination wether. for example passing EHRD to EHAM which is seperated about roughly 60 nm. Will asv use EHAM or EHRD as weather? This i asked because i am trying to avoid the "popping updates", which i have on some occasions.example flights areEHAM-LGAV EHAM-GCTS, but also longer flights,TNCC EHAMJFK LGAV - This one is going from atlantic over to europe with first less and the densed weather stations.//ASv6 configuration file Build 476[General]WindowPosX = 495WindowPosY = 2565DefaultWeatherFolder = C:Flight simAsvModulesASv6SuppressionCeiling = 4000SurfaceWindLimit = 10FS9Path = Desktopfs2k4 (d)fs9PersonalAppDataFolder = Desktopdocuments and settingsRickApplication DataCloudLayerLimit = 2LocalSuppressionRange = 120MinimumVisibility = 0MaximumVisibility = 29AutoVasFrequency = 30AutoVasStrength = 30TurbulenceFrequency = 50DefaultStartupLocation = GCTSDefaultGraphicsFullTheme = Wx-InfluencedDefaultGraphicsCirrusTheme = Wx-InfluencedAutoSubmitGraphicsTheme = TrueIncreasedWake = FalseDisableWindsAloft = FalseForcePrimaryServer = FalseForceSecondaryServer = FalseFavorCumulus = FalseForceRoutePressure = FalseForceLowestCeiling = FalseUnpauseOnReadyStatus = FalseForceTstormsWithCB = TrueAutoSetFSTime = TrueIgnoreFSLocationUntilReady = TrueAutoConvertPlanFiles = TrueAutoRefreshAI = TrueDisableVisGraduation = FalseForceRouteAloftTemp = FalseOfflinePlayback = FalseEnableVAS = TrueAutoGenVAS = TrueForceDestinationWeatherZone = FalsePreventIcing = FalseOnlineUpdates = TrueExtendedDestinationWindsForce = FalseDisableAllGroundUpdates = FalseGlobalWrites = FalseDepictFS9HazeLayer = FalseExtendTstormLayers = TrueDisableDirectWindControl = FalseVoicePlayback = FalseLocalSuppression = TrueStartupSound = FalseDisableGroundUpdates = FalseUseProxyServer = FalseFogLayerGeneration = TrueUpdateSuppression = TrueOvercastEnhancement = TrueIgnoreFSReadyStatus = TrueFSUIPCWindSmoothing = TrueLimitSurfaceWinds = FalseLimitCloudLayers = TrueAutoGlobalWriteToggle = TrueRainWithTS = TrueDisableUpperLayerGeneration = FalseVisibilitySmoothing = TrueDisableMessages = TrueAutoTimeZoneDetection = TrueUpdateInterval = 10VATSIMData = FalseZuluConversion = 1AloftPredictability = 100WindDriftRate = 0MaxCloudThickness = 10000MinStratusSeparation = 7000TAFProcessing = FalseEnforceVisibilityLimits = TrueWakeTurb = TrueStartPaused = TrueUseSystemTime = TrueDisableCAVOKClouds = FalseProxyAddress = NONELastPlanFolder = C:Flight simAsvModulesASv6FlightplanAlso i am still following the threads about the update stotterswhen fs9 is updating the weather ( fps goes from 27 locked to 18).using a computer with only fs9 and a second one fore asv, ivao etc. But i think there is no solution for this?Rick
March 20, 200620 yr Hi,Destination weather will still be correct. Are you keeping ASG running?Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter

March 20, 200620 yr Commercial Member Hi Rick,To add a bit about suppression range..This only controls your airborne writes so that the local stations (within sup. range) will retain last-set data and not be changed to anything new in order to prevent sudden visual cloud depiction changes. This keeps weather changes smooth so you "fly into it" instead of the weather "warping around you". It has no "force to destination" kind of effect. The user manual has more information about suppression and weather writes.Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
March 20, 200620 yr thanks damian, i have put suppr.rannge to 200, and will have to do a flight with that, but if i understand it right then the 100 nm range is not for airliners, and i wil also put my suppr.height to 10000 feet. thanks, rick
