FSNavigator plan problem

Featured Replies

I am having a problem with AS not reading flightplans exported from FSNavigator in FS 2004 format. It will read .pln files created by the FS flightplanner, but when I try to load a .pln in AS created by FSNav, I get the error message "Error saving new .PLN file - check your folder/network settings and/or permissions."As I said, I am unable to load the FSNav .pln exports, but FS created .pln files work just fine. Any ideas?KP

Hi Ken,Is this a network installation? If it is, is your Application Data folder shared?Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter

Hi Jim,Yes, it's a network and yes, the folder is shared. I can read fs generated plans from the same folder as the ones the FSNav plans are stored.KP

Hi Ken,Maybe this will help: Is Automatic .PLN Convert to FS9 checked On in the ASv6 options page? The plan is converted and resaved in your plans folder and it seems that in this step the error happens. Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter

Hi Jim,Problem solved! Somehow, and I'm really not sure how, the permissions on the folder had changed without my realizing it. I haven't done it knowingly, but perhaps while messing around with something else I did this without realizing it. Either way, it works now. Thanks for the help!KP
