Hi to all,i'm using ASV6 SP3 (Build 470); AS has full access through my firewall (ZoneAlarm) but doesn't download any archived wheater nor the current one. It always tells me that there is an error, so i should try later. The error message in the download window is too long to read (the statement in the brakets is cut).Any suggestions?Nice greeting from Vienna/AustriaGuenther

Hi,sorry, no changes. AS was removed from ZoneAlarm and clicked as allowed to connect, even when ZoneAlarm was shut down, the same error.Thank's for your further supportGuenther

Hi Jim,no IE is not set to offline, i can access the HiFi-site. When i check the status of the server trough AS, i get an OK for both servers. In the internet connection i can see some traffic, but when i try to update the current weather trough the same window mask, not even any byte is sent via the internet connection. It seems to me that AS isn't even trying to contact the server.Thank's in advanceGuenther

Hi,the only security software running is ZoneAlarm and McAfee VirusScan; no proxy - direct connection from PC to DSL-modem/router to provider; several reboots -> no change!what is really suspect to me is the fact that i can evaluate the status of the hifi data servers (both OK) but no traffic is going out when calling for weather data.can i tell AS which network card to use because i've three cards for network in my pc?greetings,Guenther

Hi,Please be aware that ZoneAlarm is known to be problematic with many internet apps, and AS is no exception. You can even disable, even UNINSTALL ZoneAlarm and it will still prevent proper internet operation with many apps if explicit permission is not correctly granted.IE access of the server status pages means that the internet connection is fine... it is ZA preventing ASv6 from using IE's communications.It sounds like Zone Alarm has a bad configuration for AS somewhere, and yes a re-install cycle might clear it up.
