Hi all. I'm wondering if the guys on the team know of a way to have wind smoothing up high where you need it but no smoothing down close to the surface where landing with wind gusts would be more realistic. Landing in gusty conditions can be a challenge in the real world but with smoothing on in the sim, the changes are too gradual. Thanks for any input.

Hi Jeff,You can disable DWC (direct wind control) in AS options as well as FSUIPC wind smoothing and you'll get the shear and gusts in all their glory.Automatically disabling DWC and wind smoothing when below a certain AGL figure sounds like a great idea.... thanks for the feedback!Best,

Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah, I think I'll just leave things as they are. I like the DWC and smoothing for the enroute portion of my flights. I'll just be eagerly awaiting the update with my new feature idea incorporated.;-)
