B491 - Handling Invalid Dewpoints...

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I was flying from TNCM. The reported temperature was 20 and the reported dew point was 24. After a short while the visibility started going down to zero, and the ground looked a bit strange (like a cloud was trying to be drawn.. it was an off shade of blue).Does ASV handle cases where the dewpoint is reported to be greater than the actual temperature? I should have saved the weather that was in effect if that would help. Thanks!

Hi,Damian programed a fix for if the dewpoint was totally missing and then we discussed this event as well. I think I concluded that this event should not happen enough to warrent a further fix. Please drop a note to tell-us@hifisim.com and briefly share this. You are correct as to the cause of the strange graphics though! I would have never thought a user would link the two events, unless you did a search here!!Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter
