ADDING NEW WX STATIONS

Featured Replies

I sent an email recently but received no answer!?I am in awe of your software, but understand that certain areas of the globe may not be sufficiently covered. I am a commercial scenery designer for FS9 and am completing some superb scenery for the Antarctic region. Is it possible for you to add Rothera WX Station to the upload facility, and also Fossil Bluff WX. I sent a whole load of stations for the area that are listed in my email, but these two are particularly important. I can send you their respective WX ID's to access metar information.YoursJames Howell

Hi James! We did receive your e-mail to [email protected]. Thank you! We generally do not respond to such mails unless we need clarification or other details. In this case your request has indeed been logged and added to the list of great suggestions we are already working on...We actually already have a brand new server collection and distribution system online and being tested. This includes significantly increased coverage all over the world, for all kinds of data including METARS, TAF, Aloft, and other surface condition details for the entire globe. With some other new technology we've been working on, we'll soon be able to accurately depict real-time conditions pretty much anywhere....With the current system we are limited not only by available stations to write wx to, but also by actual METAR data that is available via certain public and private sources. Anyhow, this 'current' system will soon be a thing of the past :)Thanks again for your suggestions and input.... please keep it coming and I also encourage everyone else who has ideas/requests to please forward them to [email protected]!Best,
