Weather and Gatwick

Featured Replies

just a few questions please to help me with AS6.1. Once I have loaded the weather and I go into Flight Sim, the weather is set to User Defined which is correct, but the Dynamic Change bar is set to none? Is this right for AS6, does AS change the weather rather than Flight sim?2. At Gatwick EGKK, I am finding I am always taking off at the far end from the terminals (08 R) when in real life, the runway normal goes from the other end nearest the terminals. Now I thought this wa govened by the winds in Flight sim, so you take off into the wind, but his never seems to change ends? What can I do, or change so I can take off at the terminal end or am I stuck if using real weather? I was going to change the wind direction but not sure I should be changing any settings if using AS6?Hope this makes senseThanks

I use RC4 and fly from EGKK often. I would guess I get directed to 26L as often as 08R. Maybe each time you have downloaded there has been an easterly wind flow. Just possible I suppose. In real life todat it'a a southerly; does not go round to the west until the end of the week.

Should have said I use ASV6 as well!:)

Hi,1. Correct, Dynamic change should be None. AS will take care of the changes!2. Gatwick is a strange airport for ATC. You can search the General Forum for a whole bunch of posts about this. The solution seems to be AFCAD files that close down certain runways.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://dot.kelder.net:8080/fseconomy/
