Just to update to say that I have got it working. The issue appeared to be with MS Store saying there was no internet (even though there was!) A restart of the MS Store Installer service and then a full reboot has fixed the issue.

I have been playing MSFS2020 on PC for many years which I purchased from the MS Store, yet today I am unable to run it due to an error. On the loading screen, it says "Do you own this game or app? I have clicked "Manage Subscription" and checked I own the game in the Xbox account. But it also says "A Game Pass Premium or Ultimate subscription is required to play this game". I dont have XBox game pass but this has never been a problem before. I have checked the online services and it is saying there are no issues with MSFS2020 today. Any ideas what I am supposed to do as Im totally lost on finding a fix and the online support is all AI based and useless.

So your only looking at your own situation, not that of the wider market. I would like to buy another 737 but why would I when I would have to pay an upgrade fee, yet it’s not yet available in 2024. It’s stifling the market and purchase options

I think you are missing the point. If devs don’t sell enough addons because people are less confident to buy because of financial outlay or uncertainty because of lack of news, devs will stop producing so many addons. That in turn will affect those with deep pockets as there will be less available. It’s about the long term sustainability of something we all enjoy

It probably means the addon developers don’t make as many sales that they could, which affects the whole community. It’s a shame as some is very good but I could spend thousands and in a few years lose the lot. Its a different league of financial commitment than just buying a new version of FIFA every year

The point is that there is new sceneries arriving in the marketplace all the time but who is going to buy it when MS can turn off the platform at any time. it’s an inherent problem with cloud based services, not just MSFS but I don’t have money to waste on products I will lose. It’s a shame for those who don’t have money to spare

As a MSFS2020 user I am now stuck in an upgrade ‘no man’s land” and it’s now at the point where I won’t/can’t spend any money on the hobby - which is counter to what the developers want. have purchased aircraft and scenery for 2020 some of which I’m not sure can be updated for 2024, so I’m staying with 2020 for now. But because I know that 2024 is the sim that will now be the main focus, there is no way I will invest anymore into 2020. In a similar way, when I am forced onto 2024, I will either be so late into the sim that it will be pointless buying addons or there will be talk of an even newer version. I know new versions come out all the time, but investing in flight sims is different because of the number of addons and investment made. so sadly I’m now stuck where my money won’t be going into the hobby I enjoy.

Hi, I have purchased the iFly bundle and Xtreme for FS9 and it looks like I got the Video Marshall added for free which is a bonus, but I seem to have encountered two problems? 1. I cannot find a manual for it as it was not directly downloaded and installed, it came with the other software packages? Can I download the manual? 2. When I tried to run it via the FS2Crew buttons on my 3 monitor setup , all I got was a black window which did not do anything and could not be closed. After reading some of the other posts, it would seem that it could be because I do not run FS9 in windowed mode, as I prefer it full screen. Is there a way to disable VM as the buttons for it still appear on the Fs2Crew button menu and so not only do I lose all the marshalling functions via the buttons but if i hit them accidentally, I get stuck with a black window onscreen for the entire flight? I am looking to get a new mesh, mainly for Europe as it always seems so flat. I did try VFR UK terrain but that is many years old now so hoping something new will be better and cover more than the UK.Have found FS global 2010 which covers the world and also France VFR offer two products NextGen Europe and Next Gen France. Overall the packages come out at about the same price but does anyone have experience of either or know which one would be best. They do seem on the expensive side but have not found any freeware that really offers the same amount of detail or they come with too many download.Any advice gratefully received...

Sorry not to reply sooner, the joys of having to go to work!The PC was custom build by an online company called Arbico and I believe overlock as Gigabyte provide a utility to go with the motherboard. I was a bit reluctant to OC the PC incase in shortens the life of my CPU, as I certainly cannot afford to replace the PC :-/

Its a core2Duo with both cores (e8600) running at 3.33Ghz each, this is the fatest core2duo that intel made.

Hi all,I am currently using a Geforce 1GB GTX 260 for my FS9 with Windows XP 32bit edition, 4GB ram and dual core 3.33GHZ PC.I am getting some stuttering when having weather on and a fair amount of AI aircraft at big airports. I am trying to work out if a graphics card upgrade would help my sim or if I am suffering withmy CPUs instead? As I only use FS9 I cannot get a faster CPU and it only runs on one core with the weather etc running on the other core.I cannot afford a 5xx series card so was potentially looking at a 480. Would this help the stuttering and speed up my sim in general or how do I work out if I am at the limit of my CPU?

Hi,I have tried to log this on the Eaglesoft forums but its taking forever to get an account configured so i thought i would try here.I purchased the Eaglesoft Citation II plane and the install went without any problem. But when I load the plane, it has its own special GPS but it does not show any maps as it says its a jefferson system which expired in 2002.I cannot find anything in the documentation about how to get to to work but would have thought it would have been part of the aircraft so cannot undersand why it would say expired?Has anyone seen this before?Thanks

is there any easy way to remove Traffic2005 without uninstalling the whole program as I want to see what WOAI aircraft I have? At the moment my airports are quite crowded and its not as easy as I thought it would be to work out which traffic is from which program?

Im not sure if this is the correct way but I go into the Flight Simulator 9\Traffic2005\Flight Plans and add extra lines to the individual fligth plans. then you have to go to the compiler and run it to add the data to the main traffic.bgl

well I thougth it might make comparasion easier to begin with and then I can remove the program that I least like :-)

I take it you could run both at the same time and they would use their respective models?

Hi,I use FS9 with Traffic2005 which gives me plenty of traffic and I would not want to change it for anything else now. But when yu look at the big irons at an airport, the quality is not so good and lets down the look compared to some of the excellent airport add-ons we have been getting recently.Is there a way to change the 3D aircraft models for AI traffic but keep using the same texture sets and AI timetables? I know it may impact on FPS a little but to have AI aircraft that look almost as good as your own plane would make it look much more realistic?thanks

Hi,I do have the full paid version of FSUPIC but whenever i use AS6.5, the next time I use FS9, the visibility settings are switched off again as if AS turns them off.I would like this option to be on all the time bit not sure if this is possible?

Hi,I use the visibility settings in FSUIPC to allow for a layer of mist near the horizon as I think this is much more realistic than being able to see forever on a clear day.The only problem is that the visibility settings only work when using a weather program like AS6. Now I dont always run with real weather as sometimes I dont have long to play so I jump straight in to a quick flight or adventure. When I do this the visibility is disabled. When you then go back to using real weather, you have to remeber to re-tick the setting to turn it back on again.Is there a way to get the visibility working all the time? Im sure it does not have to be linked to real weather as the settngs are a fixed distance from your plane and use a simple fog to hide the distance. I have tried a seperate visibility file but then when you have realweather loaded it doubles up the fog and so is not workable.Thanks

Hi all,I currently use ActiveSky 6.5 for my real word weather but have the problem that I do not know what weather to expect during flight. I have seen ASE offers weather maps although i am not sure if they are available during flight. I also fly using the VC rather than the 2D panel view.It would be useful to be able to view an updating weather map to avoid storms and bad weather etc... i have seen that Captain Sim do a weather gauge but it only works in 2D cabins views.Can anyone suggest an add-on for checking the weather situation in FS2004?

Isn't Radar Contact version 5 going to be released for FS9 at some point?
