  1. Just to update to say that I have got it working. The issue appeared to be with MS Store saying there was no internet (even though there was!) A restart of the MS Store Installer service and then a full reboot has fixed the issue.
  2. I have been playing MSFS2020 on PC for many years which I purchased from the MS Store, yet today I am unable to run it due to an error. On the loading screen, it says "Do you own this game or app? I have clicked "Manage Subscription" and checked I own the game in the Xbox account. But it also says "A Game Pass Premium or Ultimate subscription is required to play this game". I dont have XBox game pass but this has never been a problem before. I have checked the online services and it is saying there are no issues with MSFS2020 today. Any ideas what I am supposed to do as Im totally lost on finding a fix and the online support is all AI based and useless.
  3. So your only looking at your own situation, not that of the wider market. I would like to buy another 737 but why would I when I would have to pay an upgrade fee, yet it’s not yet available in 2024. It’s stifling the market and purchase options
  4. I think you are missing the point. If devs don’t sell enough addons because people are less confident to buy because of financial outlay or uncertainty because of lack of news, devs will stop producing so many addons. That in turn will affect those with deep pockets as there will be less available. It’s about the long term sustainability of something we all enjoy
  5. It probably means the addon developers don’t make as many sales that they could, which affects the whole community. It’s a shame as some is very good but I could spend thousands and in a few years lose the lot. Its a different league of financial commitment than just buying a new version of FIFA every year
  6. The point is that there is new sceneries arriving in the marketplace all the time but who is going to buy it when MS can turn off the platform at any time. it’s an inherent problem with cloud based services, not just MSFS but I don’t have money to waste on products I will lose. It’s a shame for those who don’t have money to spare
  7. As a MSFS2020 user I am now stuck in an upgrade ‘no man’s land” and it’s now at the point where I won’t/can’t spend any money on the hobby - which is counter to what the developers want. have purchased aircraft and scenery for 2020 some of which I’m not sure can be updated for 2024, so I’m staying with 2020 for now. But because I know that 2024 is the sim that will now be the main focus, there is no way I will invest anymore into 2020. In a similar way, when I am forced onto 2024, I will either be so late into the sim that it will be pointless buying addons or there will be talk of an even newer version. I know new versions come out all the time, but investing in flight sims is different because of the number of addons and investment made. so sadly I’m now stuck where my money won’t be going into the hobby I enjoy.
  8. Thank you for the information on FSFO. I will certainly keep an eye for the upcoming changes, as it sounds like it’s heading in a good direction and could turn into a purchase for me. I am happy with AH2 but it sounds like FSFO may fill the gap, plus give me some help in the cockpit too. Finally, is it possible to add voice packs to FSFO, as the default voice sounds a bit unrealistic from what I’ve heard so far?
  9. Thanks for the input so far. Personally I don’t think that APL is the right product for me. I am still a trainee pilot with limited time, so I like to have a certain amount of control over flights & distances, plus I would probably fail a number of the tests. AH2 isn’t quite so fussy as long as you can get the aircraft onto the ground safely. APL seems like it’s for the more experienced flyer. So I am looking at PACX or FSFO so far. Although FSFO looks very good, I’m not keen on having to buy different versions for each aircraft I want to use it with.
  10. Is it possible to combine AH2 with PACX to get the best of both worlds, (AH2 to set the routing, then PACX to run a passenger flight) or can they only be run exclusively of each other?
  11. Thanks for the info, but isn't this geared more towards checklists and cockpit flows?
  12. Hi all, I am looking for something similar to Fspassengers which I enjoyed with FS9, but for MSFS. I currently use AirHauler2, which is a great program, but it does not cater for dealing with passenger numbers or inflight service etc.. Fspassengers had a simple financial model but it was also geared around your performance in the air. I have looked at PACX but the updates appear limited and the reviews are a little mixed. There is also 'A Pilots Life -v2' but this appears to be focussed around working for an airline and doing jobs, so the passengers bit is missing. Any suggestions for a good program, as it would be good to be a pilot but also feel like I am looking after a plane load of passengers at the same time?
  13. I can confirm that some of the shadows on the original liveries display incorrectly too, with one of them being none other than.... Easyjet!! This will be one for the FSLTL team Phew! 👱‍♂️
  14. Super Stuff! Team work makes the dream work 🙂
  15. I found that Ordernator does compress the images a bit further with the other options ticked, but visually I could not see any differences. Im guessing that @toby23 may have used a different mipmap batch script to the rest of us? I have to applaud the devs on this one, the sounds as I sit and watch the ai traffic is just superb!
  16. I have sat at Faro for a while this morning and all looks good. I cannot guarantee that your troublesome aircraft have not appeared but I am sure I saw the Air Portugal plane and mine looked ok. You could try and resize those particular images again, or just replace with the originals and live with a couple of full size liveries.
  17. Is everyone using the latest version of XnView MP? I downloaded a fresh copy today and am using the 64-bit version. I would think that the files should be useable after the XnView process, If they go black after this, there’s no point doing the mipmaps
  18. I wish I could help you all more but I don’t know how. I have run it three different times now with success. I just popped into Zurich and saw EasyJet’s and Swiss air. perhaps try different batches of aircraft or just convert all the 4096x4096 first? I wonder if some are converting image files that do not have square dimensions. There are quite a number of files to remove before running the convert process.
  19. Here is what im using - I cannot guarantee that every aircraft is ok but every one I have seen so far is good, including the liveries that i was having issues with before and that included EasyJet... https://ibb.co/Hgk6Yhs https://ibb.co/kXd84LF https://ibb.co/W2npVTh
  20. I have followed the process for 2048 x 2048 images and loaded into MSFS without any issues so far. Folder comes in at 5.84GB and FPS is about 3-4 lower on my system vs 1024 images.
  21. I am not able to add images here as I dont have an account for image uploads elsewhere. I am just doing another test with 2048 images, so will see if that was successful too.
  22. Yes I got it from there. It comes in a zipped file, so you have to extract the folder first. Then you should be able to run Ordenador.exe
  23. 1. Download and install XnView MP - backup your original FSLTL base folder 2. Load XnViewMP and go to Tools > Batch Convert 3. Point to your FSLTL base/airplanes folder. Remove any images that are equal or smaller than the size you are resizing to. Remove images that do not have square dimensions i.e.are not 4096x4096 or 2048x2048 by sorting the Properties column. If information does not exist, compare the file sizes 4. On the Actions tab, Add Action > Resize 5. On the Actions tab, Presets - custom, Mode = Fit, Width & Height = 1024 (or 2048), Keep Ratio = tick. Unlick the others. 6. Output, Folder = blank, Filename = blank, If output file already exists = Replace, untick everything else, Format = Save as original. 7. Hit Convert 8 Wait! 🙂 9. I then used Ordenador (you may need to register on website to download) across the same folder, without changing any settings. I am not sure if this step is necessary or if the settings are correct, so someone else will need to advise. 10. Load MSFS ensuring that your folder with your new images is called SimObjects and not SimObjects - copy or something else! **Please do not share your FSLTL base folder with other users, as these instructions are only for your own use and it would breach copyright of the original product.
