August 5, 201015 yr Hi,I use the visibility settings in FSUIPC to allow for a layer of mist near the horizon as I think this is much more realistic than being able to see forever on a clear day.The only problem is that the visibility settings only work when using a weather program like AS6. Now I dont always run with real weather as sometimes I dont have long to play so I jump straight in to a quick flight or adventure. When I do this the visibility is disabled. When you then go back to using real weather, you have to remeber to re-tick the setting to turn it back on again. Is there a way to get the visibility working all the time? Im sure it does not have to be linked to real weather as the settngs are a fixed distance from your plane and use a simple fog to hide the distance. I have tried a seperate visibility file but then when you have realweather loaded it doubles up the fog and so is not workable. Thanks

But remember, every time you change something in the configuration via the FS9 menu, the value will change again to a value in the 96 thausends. Rgds,Hugo
August 7, 201015 yr AFAIK FSUIPC only affects 3rd party weather, to be sure read the FSUIPC documentation or ask in Pete's support forum.Whatever settings you use in FSUIPC they should not change between FS sessions, the only way they can change is by you manually changing them.Hugo's suggestion may work when not using real weather.
August 7, 201015 yr If you get the paid registration for FSUIPC all functions become available without the use of a weather application. If you read in the modules folder fsuipc.log you'll see that AS65 registers its features each time it is running when FSUIPC starts. I use it for control sensitivities, traffic refresh (toggling), and other purposes. Aircraft applications can be by aircraft type or for all.In the FSUIPC documentation in a subfolder of your modules folder (with recent installs) you should find a section about what items are added with a paid registration.
August 8, 201015 yr Author Hi,I do have the full paid version of FSUPIC but whenever i use AS6.5, the next time I use FS9, the visibility settings are switched off again as if AS turns them off.I would like this option to be on all the time bit not sure if this is possible?
August 8, 201015 yr Attached is an image of my AS65 visibility settings. Do you want to set the minimum visibility here? There is an option in FSUIPC as I recall to allow weather applications and FS to clear all weather. That in part may be causing clear weather since it is best for AS use to start with clear weather (my flights are saved with the clear weather theme as well). AS should cause FS to respond to METAR visibility. In the AS manual I think there is a section about this. In FSUIPC I think you want graduated visiblity on and that's what AS should be maintaining.
