Just built a new system and when I start AS6 I get an "error during FS station database check (step 3)... Stations may not be properly configured for extended-coverage weather depiction..."Why am I getting this and how do I fix it?TIA.Terry

Hi Terry,Make sure your FS04 folder and your Application Data folder are not set to Read Only.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

I uncheck read only and apply however, when I go back into properties the read only box is highlighted again. ??

Hi Terry,Are these fresh installs of FS and ASv6 on your new computer?Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Fresh install of MSFS on the new computer. Existing installation of AS 6 on the widefs machine. I ran activeradarconnector.exe on the FS computer too.

Hi,OK, that is the problem! You need to first do a fresh install of ASV6 on the WideFS computer. No FS04 install should be there. You also need to share, across your network, your FS04 folder and your Application Data Folder. Remember, this is a hidden folder.Lastly you need to configure your firewall/antivirus to allow access across your network. Then things should work out!Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Hi Jim:I removed AS 6 from the widefs machine and reinstalled it. I'm still getting the error message. All file sharing is setup for the correct directories.I had it working fine on the installation before I upgraded the computer so I know how to do it.

Hi,I am stumped, and so I have pointed Damian to this thread.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

FYI, Radar Contact and SB 3.1 work OK on the widefs machine. File sharing must be ok.

Hi,It appears your networking is not quite setup properly. On the FS MACHINE, you need 2 shares.... As described in the documentation. One for FS9 and one for your personal appdata path. Please describe the share name, physical location, and CONFIRM that "allow network users to change my files" is appropriately checked for each share. I believe this is where the problem is. It might be worth removing sharing on these locations and re-initializing.From there, on the widefs machine you should be able to browse VIA the shares (i.e.FS9machineFlight Simulator 9 and FS9machineApplication Data). You should be able to rename any file (try a .txt or .cfg) and rename it back. This will confirm your network is setup properly. From there, make sure ASv6.ini and ASG.ini are properly pointing to the correct paths (for PersonalAppData and FS9Path folders) using these share names. Then you need a share on the wideFS machine setup for the ASv6 folder (i.e. C:ASBaseModulesASv6 shared as ASv6, allow network users to change my files)... You can then run activeradar FROM THE FS machine through this share location to finish set of AR.Best,

Hello:"Allow network users to change my files" is appropriately checked for each share.I believe that is where the problem was. I thought I had those set properly... Hmm...All is working as it it should now. Thanks all!
