September 8, 200619 yr Hello,I'm new to ASv6 and try to get used to it.But one problem I always encounter is, that my reported altimeter pressure in ActiveRadar is always different to the one that is reported in Active Radar. It doesn't matter, if I am at my departure airport, airborne or at my destination. How's that possible? Is there a option I need to set?(I am using build 503, latest FSUIPC)Thank you in advance Florian
September 8, 200619 yr Hi,Sorry for the problem. Here are some suggestions:Set FSUIPC to default settings and weather settings off.Do you have Force Constant Route Pressure checked On in ASv6?Please let us know,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
September 8, 200619 yr Hello,Thank you so far! :)Yes, I set FSUIPC (unregistered, btw.) to default and weather settings to off.Force constant route (and temp) are both unchecked. Here's a current example:I started ASv6, FS2004, loaded a default aircraft at EDDH. The sky conditions here in Hamburg were clear and altimeter at standard 29.92. The radar and ATIS both reported that.Because 29.92 is the standard case, I set the weather in ASv6 to "Low Overcast" and updated it. Now I got some clouds in the sky, ATIS reports 16/9
September 11, 200619 yr Commercial Member Hi,AR reports the latest METAR data pressure.FS simulates the actual pressure. These are not always going to be the same, for many reasons including realistic variation injection and FS self-interpolation.You should always be using the actual altimeter setting as provided by ATC or ATIS, just like in the real world.. METARs will usually always vary from this.Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
September 12, 200619 yr Hello, thank you for your answer.I understand that. But it's a bit disappointing. I hoped that AR could give me the current Altimeter settings (since the FS ATC is not always giving it, when needed).Thank you, once again! :)kind regards Flo
