September 11, 200619 yr Greetings.I bought AS6 a few days ago, but I'm having some problems while using it while flying Freight Dogs missions (which uses the FSCargo module, so I guess they are similar).Somewhere in mid flight Freight Dogs quits with the message 'The FS time has been altered. Freight dogs will exit with a score of 0%'... :(I've tried switching off all the options in AS that I thought would change the time in FS, but I'm still having the problem.I've unchecked the following:- Auto refresh AI in first wx set- TAF procesing- Use system time (vs FS time)- Automatic timezone detection- Enable offline sequence playback- Auto set FS time on archive D/LSome of these probably have nothing to do with setting the time, but...I've tried with AS both in online and offline mode. Are there any other settings I've missed, or something else I can do to prevent AS from changing the time in FS?Other than that I really like this product. I'm using GE Pro as well, and the two of them together is a great combination.Cheers,Bj
September 11, 200619 yr Commercial Member Hi,ASv6 changes time during AI refreshes. Thus after first weather update if "Auto refresh AI in first wx set" is checked. It will also change time if the "Refresh AI" button is pressed. What it does is change time 2 minutes forward then back, to force FS to reload all traffic info. Not sure this is what is causing the problem for you...Other things which can change time: FS real time, FSUIPC. FSUIPC has a sync option which may alter time and thus be triggering such mission failure. Might be worth a check. As for FS real time, if you have it installed, suggest deactivating it.Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
September 11, 200619 yr Thank you for the prompt reply.I've made sure to select 'Weather settings off' in FSUIPC, and I have not checked 'Keep FS clock sync'd to real time'. I'm not familiar with FS real time, so I'm sure I don't have that installed. I've also unchecked all of the options you mentioned.I tried a flight after changing to the correct FS path in the ini-file, but I still have the problem. This never occured before I installed AS, so I can't think of anything else causing this. What happens is that the 'loading bar' of FS comes up, it loads some textures, but no traffic I think, and the flight continues, and I get that message from Freight Dogs. The strange thing is that the time isn't altered in FS, at least the clock in the cockpit shows the same time.I've had 'Enable ASG auto-submit' checked, though. Perhaps this has been causing it, since it sends cirrus textures to FS and thus forces FS to do a reload? I'll try another flight with this enabled the day after tomorrow, as I'm busy tomorrow night.Either way it seems more like a problem with Freight Dogs, and not AS.I have Misty Fjords, Tongass Fjords, Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis mesh for Alaska. These along with AS and GE Pro has made this area truly magnificent, so I have to say that if I have to choose between Freight Dogs and AS the choice is simple, but it would of course be nice to use FD as well.Regards,Bj
