I'm behind a corporate firewall. I set the ASv6 options to use the correct firewall (and port) but I get "The weather for the specified date range was not found (or the was an error..." <- that's all I see Any ideas?Edit: Build 523

Hi Ed,I would suggest that your firewall is still blocking the download? Can you pull current weather? Can you browse to our site? You may need to set things up at home instead of at work!Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

>Hi Ed,>>I would suggest that your firewall is still blocking the>download? Can you pull current weather? Can you browse to our>site?Yes, I can browse to the site. I put in the firewall option:internetxxxx.xxx.com:80but still no joy. Is it using port 80 for the download or should I use a different port.>>You may need to set things up at home instead of at work!I have it working at home, only problem is my internet connection (21.6K dialup)

Hi Ed:From the ASv6 User Guide:Proxy ServerUse Proxy Server

>So you may need to start with proxy.internetxxxx.xxx.com:80Tried for giggles - no workie - same error. Don't even get authentication challenge, so I browsed to the HiFi site (triggered the auth challenge) and left the browser up then tried to D/L again. No joy.Proxy server is correct. The usual ports are open 80 and 443. FTP traffic uses port 81 (redirect). Gopher is port 80.I tried with and without specifying the port but I never get a authentication challenge.

Hi,Can you download other files at work? Your security system may be set up to block certain downloads.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

I can download as long as they can be D/L'd via HTTP or FTP. In fact, most things I download, I download at work due to my dismal connection speed at home (which this AM is 16.8K - I'll trade you!)Since I'm not getting an authentication window, ASv6 is either ignoring it's proxy settings or it's using a different port.

Hi Ed,Let me point Damian to this thread.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

OK, thanks Jim.

Hi Ed,Can you confirm that this only happens when attempting to download archives? And that normal online updates download ok?Or are online updates not working either? Thanks!

Only happens when I try to D/L the weather archives.I don't fly with the install at work so it's set for offline and pause.

I just tried online updates - they don't work either :(

Hi Ed,Ok... I suggest we take this issue to e-mail where we can better facilitate some troubleshooting. Please e-mail me at damianc AT hifisim.com.Essentially, it appears your corporate firewall, security software, or other specific corporate internet configuration settings are preventing ASv6 application from accessing the internet and/or receiving a reply. This all happens via normal http on port 80 via any proxy settings you have configured. The proxy settings in IE must match what is set in ASv6 proxy options, but I think we've verified that already. Via e-mail we can try some specific tests to try and figure out the problem. Please specify in the email any security software running on the PC in question. Thanks!
