Hi,I've recently had some troubles with ASv6 (will not connect to FS) so I decided to reinstall. Upon loading up the uninstaller I get the following error message (see attachment). I then get another error message and the program quits.Any help is greatly appreciated!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/157836.gifEDIT: A few things I forgot to mention. Every time I go to open the main program I have to browse to my Application Data location. I also receive a weather station error message.

Hi,Sorry for the problem.Your Windows registry is messed up a bit. You can use this tool to clean things up:http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...Ben-us%3B290301Then you should be able to reinstall without this message popping up.Please let us know!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Thanks alot Jim. I will run this file and let you know how it went.

Apologies for the late reply Jim.I was able to reinstall ASv6. However, I still receive two error messages. I can live with the weather station one, but is there any way to fix the fact that I have to browse to the Application Data directory every time I boot it up?

Hi,It appears that ASv6 cannot properly access or write to the path as specified here: PersonalAppDataFolder = C:Documents and SettingsLenApplication Data. This would account for the recurring browse for folder dialog as well as the error pertaining to extended weather station coverage. ASv6 needs to update a FS9 file located within Application Data to account for the additional stations, and is unable to.This can be due to a few things:- You are not logged in as the user who installed FS9, and thus the FS9 user-specific data files cannot be found. ASv6 and FS9 must be installed and run under the same user account.- You have specific security permissions set that prevent access to the Applications Data folder.- Your Security/AV software is preventing applications from accessing this folder.- The required station file (Application DataMicrosoftFS9wxstationlist.bin) is marked read-only.Please let us know if this info helps solve this. If you have further issues please feel free to e-mail me at damianc AT hifisim.com and I can assist directly.Best,

Thanks Damian! There is only one user account on this PC, and obviously it is the one I have ASv6 and FS9 installed on.I can access the Applications Data folder, I go there regularly to make tweaks on my fs9.cfg file.I have made no changes to my anti virus software for a number of months now.How do I change the options for this file so it isn't marked as read only? I just right clicked on the bin file, and went to properties. I see that the Read Only checkbox is NOT checked. Thanks for your time!
