Hi JetNingaIn layman terms for you I hope - What happens when you create a DXT3 image is that the image format hold the STANDARD IMAGE, the Alpha Information and upto 9 MIPS (scaled version of the image for textures at different distances)In the process of creating all of these layers and effects when compiling to DXT3 format there is by default some degrading which is most noticable of smaller detail and areas for textures.Aircraft created with large work areas for textures adapt readily to graphics manipulation and suffer less from degrading when compiled to DXT3. In the case of the MD-11 - like many of the MS aircraft all of the textures are on just one image so naturally components like fuselarge etc are smallish and will suffer in the compile process. Therefore for the MD-11 I have released both version.http://www.gjsmith.com/images/gjsmithdotcom-2.gifGarry J.
