November 13, 200619 yr I'm using the lastest AS6.5 build 533 with FSUIPC version 3.70 and I'm noticing a problem with winds aloft updating. After a few hours of flight the wind speed seems to drop and then freeze (even in high station density areas), on occasions it has become the surface wind of the closest station despite being at FL390. Initially refreshing the weather or restarting AS6 will unfreeze it and it will return to the appropriate value but even this stops fixing it after a while. The FS2004 weather dialog shows the wind to be what AS6 should be commanding but the simulator itself does not seem to apply that value. The only solution eventually is to restart FS2004.I've got online updates enabled, update supression (10000ft), use local range supression (100NM), automatic global write toggle, force dest wx zone, ignore fs ready, update interval 10 mins and Enable VAS, Autogenerate VAS points, Wake turbulence, FSUIPC wind smoothing, aloft 100%, auto VAS 30%, VAS strength 30%, turb freq 5%.Any ideas?

November 14, 200619 yr Hi,I will use this area.Is this with a default plane? How do you know that FS04 is not processing the winds data?I think that is what I asked!Let us know,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

November 16, 200619 yr Well the advice given for this problem is really going to help if its all done by email !!
November 16, 200619 yr Hi Graham,When I get home from work, I always check and answer my e-mail requests first. Then I get over to here and work through things. If a user has sent an e-mail and posted the same problem here, I am not going to duplicate my responses, but just let the user and everyone else know, that I am working on things, through e-mail. That way we all can see that nobody is being ignored or skipped over. Also, we may communicate a number of times by e-mail by the time I return here. Duplicating the conversations is not going to be very efficient. Now, if anyone else is have the same problem, we ask that they start a new thread, as it is too hard sometimes to keep things straight. Also, I look at how common the problem is. If it is a unique situation, such as this problem, then I need to make a judgment (sometimes wrong) about the best way to to communicate.I hope this explains things!Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
