Active Sky via WideFS

Featured Replies

I wonder what is the overall FPS advantage on FS9 or X when running ActiveSky via another PC using WideFS? I am designing a sim running multiple screens and want to shed the load as much as possible. As I haven't committed to purchasing ASV6.5 just yet I wondered has anyone done any tests to determine the increase in FPS by getting programs like AS and Radar Contact onto another PC on the network?Any help would be appreciated.Ken.http://members.optusnet.com.au/~kmbrand/mypic3.JPGwww.kennair.com"Aviation combines all the elements I love:Science, Freedom, Beauty, Adventure. As a pilot we must be at least proficient in all elements" - Charles Lindbergh.

Virtual Reality Flyer using X-Plane 11

Hi,I run SB3, AS6, FSC and RC4 all on a separate PC and I'm very confident it definately will benefit framerates, simply because those processes are not running on your FS system. How much? I really don't know, I haven't tested it.Nevertheless I can imagine that both AS6 and RC4 are rather 'heavy' application regarding processing power.Apart from the performance gain, the other big advantage is that you can leave the application windows open, instead of heaving to hide them behind your FS window.
