How can I stop the useless update of hundreds or even thousands of small and even smaller airports - i.e. K5XX etc - during the online mode. Today I wanted an update of KIAD wx, but was unable since the update of small and for me useless airports was blocking ASV6 for at least 15 mins.Thanks for help

Hi Karl,You cannot, as we process stations in a range of 200 miles. Are you saying that any update of AS takes 15 minutes? This is way too long! At most, 5 minutes in a super heavely populated area. Do you have throttling options desabled? Hi Jim,throttling options now disabled, but not yet tested...About 100 nm before TOD into KIAD I liked to fetch a new wx report but could not interfere with for me useless wx reports. Tried again during descent about at 17000 ft - still the same ( some canadian stations came in - on the way to Washington !! ) I really don't understand this function - for the normal flight ONLY the destination wx ( and perhaps the alternate wx ) is of interest and should be easily obtained by the fetching function !

By fetch do you mean typing the code in the fetch window and pulling up the one station report, or do you mean clicking on the Refresh button and having AS do a complete download and write cycle?Also, why can't you set AS to refresh weather every 10 minutes? I will guarantee that the weather will not change. If you are seeking your destination weather you can generate a flight plan and the flight plan will tell you your destination conditions. Or even use FlightWatch and the conditions will be spoken to you in FS.Yes, depending on your location in flight you could get some Canadian stations because you are less than 200 miles away from Canada.You may think these other stations are useless, but in reality they are not, as we use multiple station data when you are flying between stations. Good morning Jim,I mean fetching a wx report by typing - in this case KIAD - and it will not come up since it says : Please wait until update is completed or so . . . in this case 100 nm before TOD which was 12 mins plus another 7 mins until 17000 ft .... and was still updating !Refresh wx is on 10 mins

Hi,OK so an update was underway at the time. Yes, AS cannot undergo those 2 processes at the same time.
