Hi there, not only the "debugger"-error appears since the upgrade, when I start AS6 theres a new windows security alert that I have never had before, too?RegardsChris

Hi,Now that looks like the Windows Firewall screen. Sometimes an update will be seen as a new program so you need to re-assign AS access to your system.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Hi Jim,no, that is not the firewallscreen and the as6.exe ist listed in the firewall. It ist a windows security alert and warning for the execution, that means the digital signature is missing and the publisher would be unknown? Also a new problem since 6.5!RegardsChris

Hi Chris,It appears that you are running ASv6.exe over the network.. there are security implications to doing this. ASv6 should be run on the same machine (local hard drive) that it is installed on. There is a way to enable remote execution, but it is complicated and we don't have official support information on this.I would recommend installing ASv6.exe on the local machine that will be running it. If this is already the case, please help us verify the exact computer names and locations of where FS and ASv6 are installed. Something may be wrong here.Note that it is OK for ASv6.exe and FS9 to run on separate computers, but they must each be from the machine they are installed on.Best,

Hi Damian, thanks for your reply!I installed AS5 and all the upgrades two years ago on the client PC and followed the instructions, setted the path to the Fs "ComputernameFlight Simulator9" like I did it with the other programms like the FSC, FDC and PM, too. AS5 and later 6 then installed itself over the network and the shared folders into the modules folder on the server PC with the FS9, a few data are also installed in a shared folder on the client. It worked always very well up to the upgrade at 6.5, and I don

Hi Chris,I'm not sure why things would change with ASv6.5, but if you are running ASv6.exe from a remote location there are security issues. Perhaps it was due to a recent windows hotfix/update that changed things here? Either way, running this way can cause lots of problems and I think the other issues you are experiencing are related. To recap, ASv6.exe needs to be run on a local hard disk, not a network location. The first error image indicates that it is accessing it via a UNC network name. As mentioned, there is a way to get things to work this way, but it involves changing quite a few things in your windows and .NET setup and I don't have that information handy. FWIW I believe the security issue is isolated to .NET apps... ASv6 is NOT .NET but ASG is, which explains why you get the error(s) when ASG attempts to load and do a weather submit, and later fails to show on the taskbar. It sounds like you have ASv6/ASG installed on the FS machine (in the shared FS9 folder under modulesASv6, etc) but running the program from the remote machine. So the easy fix is to install ASv6 on the remote machine itself (I.e. C:BASEFOLDER) run things this way, it should solve everything.. please let us know!Best,

Hi Jim,I did it, the old AS5 and 6 installations are removed and I installed 6.5 directly on the FS PC now instead. Everything works fine and there are no error messages anymore. It
