IAS Drops to Zero during cold weather

Featured Replies

Hi,Beautiful Scenery! When you first enter your plane, please turn PITOT Heat On. The keyboard shortcut is Shift/H.This should do it!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Chears will give this ago. Some planes have a button that switches on the pitot heat does do the same thing as pressing Shift H?Thanks

HiI have recently been doing most of my flights in Alaska as I purchased Misty Fjords & Tongass Fjords. I have noticed during cold weather the IAS will suddenly drop to zero in flight. Is there any way to prevent this. I have a registered version of FSUIPC if that helps. PS I am doing these flights in FS9 not FSX.Many thanks

Hi,Yes, but there are a few panels where the switch is a dummy switch and will not turn on Heat. That is why I always suggest the keyboard shortcut.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
