March 11, 200719 yr Hi,Sorry for the problem. Please double check and make sure Active Sky is not in the middle of a download/processing weather cycle. For the flight plan error, is this with a default FS plan or a 3rd party generated plan? Please let us know,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

March 11, 200719 yr Hi,Very strange. I am going to suggest a uninstall/reinstall cycle. Please drop me an e-mail and I can make this quicker for you.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
March 13, 200719 yr I used to get that same "error during process" message whenever I try to file a plan with AS6.5 b552. I do use FSBuild for my plans and FS9. I never had this problem at first but then I went to repair the installation to replace the ActiveRadar. After I did that, everything started to act strangely and I would get that error message. Basically everything showed up in the NavLog except the information in the very bottom window. Then I decided to uninstall and reinstall and then nothing would show up and ActiveGraphics stopped working as well. Strangely I noticed that after I repaired the installation and restored ActiveRadar, I had a substantial hit to my frame rate. After re-removing the .dll everything suddenly began working correctly again.Maybe in the next update, an update for ActiveRadar could be developed. I mean it's been awhile since that's been updated and with so many complaining about different things regarding ActiveRadar, an update wouldn't be that bad. Just a thought. Main thing though, any thoughts on these weird problems. I know it went back to normal after I took out ActiveRadar again, but even before I did that, I never had any problems except FS9 would crash when I ran it. I really don't think it's linked directly.Ryan GamurotLucky to live Hawai'ihttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg Ryan Gamurot
March 13, 200719 yr Hi Ryan,A few suggestions:The plan problem could be because certain waypoints are not in the database. Re-save the plan in FS and see if that helps.Yes, AR is getting old. No plans are in place for an ASv6 version update, but we'll see for FSX.AR should not cause large FPS hits unless the Radar Details are turned up too high. Were you finding an FSP hit even if AR wasn't running? Please let us know,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
March 13, 200719 yr Hi Jim,>The plan problem could be because certain waypoints are not in>the database. Re-save the plan in FS and see if that helps. To be honest, I have never had this problem before. Also, I can't resave my plan in FS because it adds new waypoints. But like I said, after I removed AR, everything started working again.>AR should not cause large FPS hits unless the Radar Details>are turned up too high. Were you finding an FSP hit even if AR>wasn't running?Strangely enough, yes. I remember a post a while back saying that if you remove the .dll, everything may run a little faster so I removed it but didn't notice any change. Recently, I decided to replace it and suddenly everything started to run funny. Then I removed it again and everything works fine.I'm guessing that between the time i removed the .dll and replaced it, I changed some sort of setting or installed something that causes this since I never had problems before aside from the random crashes. But no performance hits or errors.Ryan GamurotLucky to live Hawai'ihttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg Ryan Gamurot
March 13, 200719 yr Hi Ryan,Attach a problem plan and let em se if I can duplicate the error. The error was in AS correct?Don't know about the the AR slowdown. It may help to do a uninstall-reinstall cycle. Email me for that one.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
March 13, 200719 yr I attached the plan I tried to file, but like I said, everything is working fine now with the ActiveRadar.dll removed. Also, it was only after I did an uninstall-reinstall cycle that everything went crazy so for now, I am perfectly happy without AR. It's just a little tricky to get my destination wx since I have to minimise FS.Ryan GamurotLucky to live Hawai'ihttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg Ryan Gamurot
March 13, 200719 yr Hi Ryan,The whole plan processed just fine in my B552 with Active Radar installed.I can suggest using FlightWatch to get destination weather.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
