How Integrated

Featured Replies

The ASX product features indicate the weather radar can be integrated into any cockpit. However, there are no screenshots that show this. Can you expand on this integration? Can it be integrated into a MPD or any space in the cockpit panel? Is it also possible to display the radar indepedently (undocked), say, on another PC via simconnect? Thanks,

Hi there,The basic integration includes insertion into all aircraft panels under the shift-N combination you desire (or via the views, instrument panel menu in FS). This works like any other FS gauge similar to the GPS and can be undocked and moved to another monitor if desired. Via another PC, the gauge will not operate (it needs FS) but the ASX-integrated map display works great. To integrate into VC panels you need an MFD-style area to overlay the gauge display onto. We've been recently experimenting with this and the results are quite nice assuming the panel has such MFD area to play with. Without such an area on the panel it gets tricky. Some 3rd party aircraft may integrate without needing to overlay on to another gauge/MFD area.. it depends on the panel configuration and VC model texture configuration done by the developers. We are planning to include a couple sample VC configurations for 2 different default aircraft which users can plug in with a little manual file copying. For integrating into other cockpits we will give some guidelines but this will be mainly up to the user to configure. There is the possibility that users will also generate configurations for other aircraft and post them for other users to use. We'll update the screenshots and detailed text info in this regard once we have things confirmed.Best,
