ASX Offline Sequence Playback?

Featured Replies

Hello,Overall, I'm pleased with my recent purchase of ASX. But it seems to me that the "Offline Sequence Playback" feature in AS6.5 is not implemented in ASX. But perhaps I just haven't figured out how to achieve the same results I had with AS6.5.Bassically, what I would like to do is this: Before starting FSX, download historical weather for each hour of my expected flight time. I would then set the FSX time and date to the first historical hour, and as each hour of my flight elapsed ASX would load the next hour of historical weather.Right now, I can sort of achieve this by manually synchronizing ASX's historical time with the current FSX time and then manually resynchronizing ASX each hour. But I would be very happy if ASX would load the subsequent hours automatically. Also, it would be nice if ASX could use FSX time, similar to how AS6.5 could. Right now, I only see the options to use GMT/Local or an arbitrary historical time.Am I correct in thinking that these features in AS6.5 are not implemented in ASX? If so, will they be included in a future update? Thanks,Schuyler Heath

Hi,This can be done!1. On the ASX main screen, uncheck the Force to Real Time box. This activates the Set to Historical boxes.2. Choose the date and time you wish the weather to begin. Remember, 2007 dates only.3. Click on Apply.ASX will start to use that data and the next hourly data for as long as you fly.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

Hi Jim and Carl, thanks for the prompt replies!I've tried the method you described, but it didn't seem to work as I had hoped. I'll try some experiments when I have time and maybe develop a more clear idea of what's going on.Thanks,Schuyler

Hi,Just as an FYI we are looking at improving things in our first update, and a sync to sim time as well as force fs time to asx active time option is on the list.Best,
