ASV6.5 CLSID

Featured Replies

After years of Active sky use, I have run into a problem. Went to start ASv6.5 today, and it went into setup, and was asking for a .msi. I tried to find it but had no luck so decided to uninstall then reinstall. But, I now cannot reinstall as I get an Error 1402 (see pic). Please can someone help? RegardsPaul

Thank you for the quick reply Jim. I have used a regcleaner and AS is not on my system. I have also download the AS program again from Flight1 in case my version was corrupt. Tried to install and had the same message. May be the only info I can supply to you is I had bought then removed XPAX from my system before AS stopped working, but not sure if this is related.RegardsPaul

I have now tried using the MS system restore back to the point that I had no issues. AS worked but AG kept crashing, saying that there were no themes, also the was no cloud texture in there. I tried a re install from there and it came up with the same Error1402. So I restored to the point when it was asking for the .msi. And AS is now doing this, however I am at a lost in what it wants. Please help as I am baffled over this one, and miss active sky.RegardsPaul

For anyone that may have this problem.1 I deleted AS6.52 I ran regedit and searched for keys that were named inetcls.inet.13 Right click on any key that had that name and selected the 'Permission' option.4 I gave them full permission5 Ran AS setup and it worked! Not sure why this happened, but hey you know computers..RegardsPaul
