  1. Ongoing issue with some/all VR headsets within MSFS. I have a HP G2 and I get the same issue.
  2. I cannot not help the OP with their issues, however I felt compelled to respond because of Dave's great response. Informative, courteous, clear and level headed. Regards
  3. Simply put; brilliant. I've noticed no FPS reduction and the effects are fantastic. From the cockpit you will notice no difference, however for film makers or those the like their external eye candy it's well worth the purchase cost. Very good value for money. Regards
  4. Hi Steve When flying the Duke I do not use the TPM, it's used with single engine aircraft. I do however use the quadrant when I'm flying the A2A range of single engine aircraft. For example for the C182 I have a few axis on the quadrants assigned to cabin heating and ventilation, cowl flap and flaps. Regards
  5. Yes FSX will see the controllers. You can then assign each axis to an aircraft control for example throttle 1 and throttle 2, however I would recommend using FSUIPC to assign the axis because this allows the physical levers to control different systems depending on the aircraft selected. On the RealAir Duke (I have 2 quadrants plus a TPM) the 6 axis on the quadrants are as per the actual aircraft (throttle, prop, mixture) where as on the Q400 the first lever is Tiller, then throttle, prop and flap lever. When you load an aircraft FSUIPC configs the controls accordingly. Regards
  6. Dear Tom I would like to thank you for all the effort you have put into Avsim. You truly are an inspiring man. Kindest regards Paul Edwards
  7. For those reading this and have not purchased any RealAir products I would like to say how fantastic the company is. They have some highly detailed aircraft (visual and systems) whilst remaining smooth, and I now have also experienced some of the best customer support in my 20 years of purchasing flight sim products'. Thank you to Rob who invested some of his weekend into trying to resolve my issue. Kind regards
  8. Thank you Rob. I cannot praise RealAir enough. They have been brilliant. Regards
  9. I've been in contact with Rob today. I still cannot get the installer to 'see' the internet connection. I have tried the test connection using the Flight1 wrapper and all is good. I've download a fressh Duke Turbine installer, tried reducing browser security settings to minimum. Turned off windows firewall and anti-virus. I'm out of ideas now. All other connections to the internet work. Regards
  10. Hi I'm trying to install the V2 Turbine Duke but I keep getting the same error regarding lack of internet connection. I've downloaded a new installer but this does not make a difference. I have also turned off Windows firewall. Any ideas? Regards Paul **Update** I have just received a reply from Rob at Realair after only 5 minutes.... Apologies. It is probably a temporary server glitch. Please give it a few hours and try again. Sorry for any inconvenience. Kind regards, Rob What brilliant service. Amazing aircraft from a fantastic company. Regards

I'm not a Froogle fan, but I recall he does not generally utilise ATC when making his videos. I would also be wary of using FSX videos to see how it's done in the actual aircraft. I can recommend a good flight deck video as these can be very informative (although procedures change with time and from airline to airline). Regards Paul
  12. With minor appearances so far, I'm going for a stand alone Segway. Regards
  13. Really interesting attempt. I'm a fan of the actor Will Hay. I understand that Will Hay, who was a keen aviator, gave flying lessons to Amy Johnson. Good luck with the remaining flights Paul. All the best
  14. I too have been suffering from OOM errors. I've downloaded Process explorer and really had to strip FSX right back to the bare bones and even then suffered OOM crash at OMDB gate after a flight from EGBB. The visual size was around 3.6 - 3.7 during the flight. It made me recall the scene in Apollo 13 where they were trying to keep the amps below their maximum. After the flight I switched to Steve fsxfixer and the virtual size has not gone above 3.0 even with all the sliders maxed. I would not pretend to know or understand the reason, but I know that it works for me. Regards Paul
  15. I have experience of this issue. It happens very infrequently and only 'cured' by restarting. I have yet to discover what is the cause of this strange behaviour. Regards Paul
  16. http://forum.avsim.net/page/index.html/_/obituaries/steve-inwood-r1648 Regards
  17. I think it is related to the OAT, and happens because of the software not the actual aircraft. I notice this happens with the NGX as well (I think the lower the OAT the bigger the jump?). Regards
  18. Very good idea. Looking forward to this. Thank you Tom. Regards
  19. Part of the galley, it just that it's covered. Very nice pictures. Thank you. Regards

If you take a close look you will see the Altec Lansing speakers that transmit the helicopter sound. Regards
  22. Recently I get the same emotion when I read these forums. I now spend a lot of my PC time here.... Regards
  23. After that video finished I clicked on of the other videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=nKG-EbqnriY. Short documentary on the 777 flight test. Reminds me of the current beta testing currently on-going for our 777. Regards
