February 28, 200818 yr Hi.I'm running FSX with Acceleration. I own Active Sky X as well as X Graphics, both of which are installed. My PC specs:Core 2 Duo 2.4ghz2GB RAMNvidia 8800GTSWindows Vista Ultimate 64 bitI recently started playing FSX again after a break. I installed the game, and then Active Sky and X Graphics. Everything has worked fine for a week or so, but now I keep having problems.Active Sky starts up fine and will download the weather. The map inside the program will update and show current conditions at whatever airport I specify. The problem is that it doesn't seem to insert this values into FSX at all. On the main screen at the bottom I see "Download active" and then it completes, and then "Synthesis active" and that completes just fine too. However, "Depiction output active" turns on and never seems to finish. It just stays on and green forever and never actually adjusts the weather in FSX. Again, it used to work fine, but now it's broken :( Sometimes it'll partially modify the weather, like changing the cloud layers or winds to the correct conditions but then leaving temperature or visibility at a value that doesn't match the reports from the Active Sky map. What's going on here? I just tried reinstalling Active Sky and that doesn't seem to have solved the problem.I really love flying with Active Sky, and it's very annoying to have it not working on me now :PHelp me please!
February 28, 200818 yr Hi,Let's see if we can get you up and running again!Uninstall Acceleration and SP1 for FSX.Install SP1.Try things out.Install Acceleration.See what happens.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
February 28, 200818 yr Commercial Member Hi,To add to this, it may be that a theme is overriding things. Suggest trying to start a flight and use the "clear wx" theme in FSX dialogs, then save the flight as your default flight. That should clear things up if the theme is the problem.Depiction active all the time is quite normal.Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies

I'll try all the stuff you guys have suggested.I'm pretty sure it's not a theme thing. I've got it set to "user defined weather", and I've pretty much only ever flown with ASX and never use the themes.
