My folders are also shared. AS6 loads the correct weather at the location I'm at. So it's reading the server folders across FSwide network. My problem is the error message when AS6 is started.Bill M

Me too ...I fly offline and use downloaded weather; AS, after refreshing, seems able to write the new weather to the FS machine, say, by producing different coverage/pressure/precipitation, or whatever else, changing the weather generated upon FS startup at the starting location.But Jim was talking about "folderS", so I guess how many other there are, which must be specifically shared ...

On the separate non-FS computer, unpack the installation .zip file to a temporary location, such as C:ASTEMP (Do not install ASv6.5 on the FS computer).2. Thanks Jim, having already read this part of the manual, and having just solved the problem last night, I would only add the following info, for the benefit of Bill and all other users ...Looking at my setup, it turned out that simply sharing the root drive of the server pc was not enough (and please don't ask ME why ...).Having noticed that the error message was generated straight at AS startup, I opened and examined the AS .ini file, and found the lines which pointed to both FS9 path and to the PersonalAppData folder path (expressed with network syntaxe of servernamesharedfoldername).I then shared this last folder individually.So I restarted AS, et voil
