April 30, 200818 yr Don't know what the heck causes this in ASX (latest beta, and before) but clouds will look normal, then all of a sudden you can see what looks like the same exact cloud, offset just enough to make it look like it was designed for stereo viewing. Makes them look out of focus, like I am seeing double (no wisecracks plz!). I'm guessing its doubling the processing burden. What do we know?Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. May 4, 200818 yr Author Hi Jim, dunno why but it hasn't occurred lately. Can you tell me though, I see the haze layer looks like the defective FS9 haze layer that I haven't seen for years since AS6 and so forth. This is awful! Is there a way to improve on this? Visibility will be to a certain altitude, and it's a perfectly flat top that looks like, as I say, FS of old. Do I need FSUIPC to fix this? Especially nasty around mountains, when you see the highly reflective top of the layer. May 4, 200818 yr Hi Noel,That is the way FSX handles that layer. We tweaked it a little, but we have to work with what is given to us.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
May 4, 200818 yr Author Amazing Jim. It's tolerable, but it is sooo reflective it looks a bit over the top and unnatural big time. It's a complete mystery to me why ACE's does stuff like this, and things like eliminating the unobstructed W key views out any direction but forward. Haven't seen this issue with the haze for years n years, so what a disappointment to see it back again. Nuf to make me want to go back to FS9, though there are so many pluses with FSX I won't I'm sure. But . . . oy!
