May 7, 200818 yr I was thinking of getting AS6.5 for FS2004 but am running Vista 64-bit. I read where you need the .Net framework and was wondering will AS be compatible with this operating system.
May 7, 200818 yr Commercial Member Hi there,Officially it has not been tested on Vista-64 but I am almost positive it will run fine. Perhaps some others running this way can advise on their experience.Do keep in mind that we will refund any purchase within a reasonable amount of time after purchase (10 days usually) if you are unable to get it installed and working on your system.Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
May 8, 200818 yr Hey There, As of right now (downloaded it tonight) I cannot get it to work for me. I have ASX and XGraphics which are awesome and lots easier to use. There may be a conflict because of .Net framework's capability with Vista 64-bit. I have tried just loading a quick theme on AS6.5 but when i start the flight, it will not show up. Any suggestions before i go for the refund?
May 9, 200818 yr Hi,Thanks for the purchase! Please keep in mind that texture themes do not contain any weather date. Those are groups of textures that we think look good together and "themes" are what we called them. The weather data is going to come from AS itself. So maybe what you are expecting to see and actually seeing is because of this. Please give us your thoughts on this.Thanks!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
May 9, 200818 yr Isn't it like ASX and XGraphics where you download the weather update and then install those textures? Do you think I am doing anything wrong? I read something about FSIUPC but do not know if I need to use that and If I do, I do not know how or what to do with it.
May 9, 200818 yr Hi,It's very much like ASX and X Graphics, except all in one program!Yes, it is through FSUIPC that we communicate with FS04. You need to have FSUIPC.dll in your FS/Modules folder. If you need the latest version here is a link to the download page: http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.htmlFirst let's get AS up and running for you and then we'll get to Graphics. Start AS, let it download the weather and process it, then start FS and see if AS recognizes your current location. Let me know how you are doing with this.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
