July 13, 200817 yr Hello,I am running ASX (SP3 installed) together with XGraphics on a networked computer. Vista32bit and FSX SP2 with only SDK 1a.Everything works fine as far as flights in Europe are concerned. I did now several flights on the Argentina IFR Tour on IVAO and experienced heeavy wind shifts above FL240. The direction of the winds reported on the "Report" site of ASX are different from the winds you can look at the "Map" site with wind turned on at the current flight level. The winds coming through to FSX are those from the "Map" site, but sometimes ASX tries to go back to the reported winds on the "Report" site, resulting in extreme wind shifts. I noticed that the winds in FSX mostly disagree by 180 degrees. Could there be a problem with the "International setting" in FSX, where I have Latitude to north and Longitude to east, because the wind difference is not shown on European flights? My last flight was from SAMZ to SAAR in Argentina, route: PULPA UW31 PTA UA306 EZE UW64 GUA UG680 ROS. Unfortunately I restarted AS this morning, therefore I am not able to send you the logfile from the yesterday flight.
July 13, 200817 yr Hi,Thanks for the report. First time for this one. Is weather turned Off in your IVAO software?Does this happen if you do not fly Online?By Map and Report site you mean the 2 screens in ASX correct?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
July 13, 200817 yr Author Yes, weather turned off in IVAO software.I do not fly offline usually, will try the next days.Yes, there was a difference between the 2 screens in ASX Report and Map.Forgot to mention that some flights were done with Wilco Airbus 1 and the last one with Fokker 100 from Digital Aviation. Maybe someone can try the flight with a default aircraft cause I don`t have the time for the next days.
July 14, 200817 yr Hi Ralf,I flew the route with a default plane and everything matched up. What wind smoothing options, if any, are you using in ASX?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
