August 6, 200817 yr I just wanted to point out, that ASX seems to be DESIGNED to be used with high-speed internet. It does not work well with dial-up...it does not work as well with downloading wx, then going offline and flying.Certain things do not work well, such as visibility limits not being respected all the time, and wx transitions with offline mode.On the other hand, it's AMAZING with the live connection going. Vis limits seem to now be respected, and wx transitions are much improved.Plus it's really neat to have some weather website up with realtime radar, while you're flying. And then in ASX you can see the same weather, and avoid it.I could never do any of this with offline mode/dial-up.I figure 99% of you are way ahead of me, and have had high-speed for a long time, but I just got it and it really brings out ASX.RhettFS box: E8500 (@ 3.80 ghz), AC Freezer 7 Pro, ASUS P5E3 Premium, BFG 8800GTX 756 (nVidia 169 WHQL), 4gb DDR3 1600 Patriot Cas7 7-7-7-20 (2T), PC Power 750, WD 150gb 10000rpm Raptor, Seagate 500gb, Silverstone TJ09 case, Vista Ultimate 64ASX Client: AMD 3700+ (@ 2.6 ghz), 7800GT Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
