Active Sky X and Reality-XP GNS530WAAS

Featured Replies

I've had issues when running Active Sky X along with Reality-XP GNS530WAAS software. For whatever reason, when contacting ATC, frequencies start changing and things start behaving very erratically. It finally settles down but it occurs every time I change freqs. When running FS X w/Active Sky standalone, everything runs fine. When running FS X w/GNS530 standalone, everything runs fine.Put them together, things go boinkers.Has anyone else seen this issue? Thanks.PatBQuadcore Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650, 3ghz | Intel DX38BT | 4GB RAM | NVidia GeForce 8800 GT | Vista 64 | DirectX 10 | FS X Acceleration

After I posted, I started thinking again (which can be really dangerous sometimes). I run Active Sky X and I also run X Graphics too. This is written in the GNS WAAS 430XP/530XP Users Manual:**************************************Vista32 and Vista64 Compatibility The On some system, it is recommended to disable visual themes for the FS9/X program for the solution to run. Go to the Flight Simulator folder, right click on FS9.exe or FSX.exe (or your shortcut to it), select properties, click the compatibility tab, disable Visual Themes checkbox. Once we find a workaround to this Vista feature, we will publish an update.**************************************I have disabled "Visual Themes", which is really turning off Aero or any other type theme which the OS may be using. If there is an issue with the software running correctly with Visual Themes enabled, could the problem still exist also while running X Graphics even though I've disabled Visual Themes? Just a thought. Just throwing it out there for all who might read this to consider. I'm also posting this on Reality XP's forum.Thanks.Pat
