August 11, 200817 yr Although I've been a user of AS6.5 for some time, it's amazing what I have learned lately by READING THE MANUAL. I realise I've been missing quite a bit. However, I have a question regarding a series of numbers that appear in a METAR report for which I have not found an answer. This is the METAR for KDFW that I received earlier today:KDFW 102353Z 15015KT 10SM FEW060 SCT120 BKN300 38/17 A2969 RMK A02 SLP042 T03830172. Now up to this point I don't have a problem reading the report. After the last entry (T03830172) the following numbers appear: 10411 20367 56013. What do these numbers refer to?Obtaining a report later in the day for the same airport, this series of numbers nor anything similar did not appear. Thanks for your help.Jim D.
August 11, 200817 yr Hi,d. Hourly Temperature and Dew Point (TsnT'T'T'snT'dT'dT'd). At designated stations, the hourly temperature and dew point group shall be coded to the tenth of a degree Celsius in the format, TsnT'T'T'snT'dT'dT'd, where T is the group indicator, sn is the sign of the temperature, T'T'T' is the temperature, and T'dT'dT'd is the dew point (see paragraphs 10.5.1 and 10.5.3). The sign of the temperature and dew point shall be coded as 1 if the value is below 0

August 11, 200817 yr Author Thanks for the links. I'm not into an intense study of weather as promoted by by the governments booklet. I just want to understand the basic weather as provided by AS6.5. Still takes a bit of reading just to figure that out when a new code is presented.I think I'm set for now.Jim D.
