FSX SP2, ASG with latest update, No Landing lights on ground

Featured Replies

I have no landing or taxi lights on the ground, I see them light up on the airplane body though. I am using the latest version of ASG, just purchased today. Also I have the latest nvidia drivers, no DX10, Vista 64bit. I have tried different landing light sets but none of them show the light reflect off the ground. Please help!Alex

I actually noticed that they are there, at least I can see the far right and left edges of the lights, but they are very dim. This is even after selecting the high intensity. How do I get the brightness back to normal?

Hi, The high intensity in xg, are like the fsx default one with edited color only.if you still don't see the light, it's probably you are not using the high intensity one.To select this, go to light & soundlanding light-Select 3rd party landing night high intensity set, -if you use wx influenced or random theme, your landing light will be changed with time again, to prevent wx influenced or random theme change your last landing light selection, you have to uncheck in optionadvanced install option, uncheck landing lights.-Close xg after.-Start xg agter-if still it install the old one reboot and see.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-dev-sigbanner.jpg

Ok I go to XG, Options, Advanced install, and uncheck Landing Lights. But when the wx influenced theme loads, I still have the dim lights. Help!

I give up, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I check landing lights, submit high intensity, uncheck landing lights, close ag. start fsx, still no landing lights display from the virtual cockpit on any aircraft that uses the default lights.

Hi, try to copy manually the files spotlight.bmp which are atHiFiXGraphicsDataLightsspotHigh Intensity Whitecopy the files to fsxtexture. If you still don't see the landing lights, something else is broken.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-dev-sigbanner.jpg

Hi, ok it works manualy, now try again with the interface and select gold or neon high intensity, be sure you select landing light high intensity and in the advanced option landing light are enabled., normaly it should works via the interface. At worst you can copy one from your choice manually and disable it from the advanced option, if you don't want to change them after.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-dev-sigbanner.jpg

Thanks for the help, Chris. The manual way worked fine, I guess for some reason ASG is not correctly copying over the custom textures when submitting a new set? Strange. Anyway, my landing and taxi lights are now back and I am a happy camper!!
