ActiveSkyX and SimConnect

Featured Replies

Just to be sure... You did have FSX running when running the AI Traffic program, right? If so, I think we can be pretty certain at this point that ASX doesn't work because SimConnect can't connect to your server from your client.Have you created and placed the SimConnect configuration scripts correctly? They are:[ApplicationDataFolder]MicrosoftFSXSimConnect.xml (server)[MyDocumentsFolder]Flight Simulator X FilesSimConnect.ini (server)[MyDocumentsFolder]SimConnect.cfg (client)For SimConnect to work, these must all be configured correctly. Especially, you must set the server IP address in both SimConnect.xml and SimConnect.cfg. Also, if your network is setup to use DHCP to hand out IP addresses to the local computers, you might end up with your server getting a new IP address, in which case your SimConnect configuration is no longer valid...If you're sure your network and SimConnect are both set up correctly, try to disable any firewall and antivirus software you might have on your client and/or server, including Windows firewall. In case you're worried that you will get hacked or something, you can pull out your internet cable before doing this. Then try to run the AI traffic application from your client.

Woo Hoo it seems to be working. I re-did the xml and cfg files and things seem to be working now. Thanks so much for your help, time and advice. All the bestkurt
