November 22, 200817 yr I put all the necessary entries in the registry for ASX so it doesn't ask me to show the paths to the flight simulator folder, flight plans folder on the main FSX PC anymore. But each time I start XG it requests me to show the path to Flight Simulator folder and then to FSX folder in Application Data on the main machine. I tried to add shared folders, added paths in the registry in XGraphics section, but nothing helps. It's quite annoying to show it each time. Is there a way to fix it anywhere? Thanks,Dirk.
November 23, 200817 yr Hi Dirk,Is X Graphics installed on the main FSX machine or on your client machine?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

I doubt it would be asking for the path on the main FSX PC.
November 23, 200817 yr Hi,From the manual did you do these things?:Important notes for networked users: If you are using X Graphics on another PC (not the FSX PC) you will need to setup network shares. The following locations must be shared on the FSX PC: * C:Documents and Settings[username]Application DataMicrosoftFSX (if on XP) or C:Users[username]AppDataRoamingMicrosoftFSX (on Vista) * C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator X (or your customized FSX installation directory) We recommend using the default share names which will be "FSX" for the Appdata folder and "Flight Simulator X" for the FSX installation folder. You MUST enable write access (allow network users to change my files) on these shares. If you have trouble seeing these locations, you may need to enable "Show hidden/system files" in your Windows Explorer/View options. For more information about sharing windows folders, please search the internet as many helpful resources can be found. Once shares are properly created, you can start X Graphics and you will be asked for these locations. Simply point to your share names i.e. MyFSXComputerFSX (for Appdata) and MyFSXComputerFlight Simulator X (for FSX Installation).Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
November 24, 200817 yr Author Jim, my ASX is on the Client machine, it reads my flight plans and updates the textures to FSX with no problem. And it never asks for the paths as they were properly set per the instructions. It is only XG that nags me for the path each time I open it (when I want to modify smth in XG's settings). So I have to point to Flight Simulator and FSX folder (in Application Data). Not a big issue.Thanks,Dirk.
November 24, 200817 yr Hi,That is for X Graphics and you need to point to the proper folders on your initial run of XG. Possibly that is what you need to do, reinstall XG and point to the proper folders.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
