I run FSX and ASX in a network. When starting ASX and then FSX I get the following log entries: 19:42:53: Problem writing weather values: Could not find a part of the path 'F:asx-wx-info.dat'.(Error) Source = 19:42:58: 7761 stations were scanned (732 did not provide recent data)19:42:58: Weather stream fully populated with new data19:43:08: Exception received: 1619:43:09: Exception received: 16The exception then repeats. Could I get some help with this? Peter.

Jim, it is Vista on the FSX box and XP on the ASX box. I will recheck the folder paths and let you know. Peter.

Jim, I have carefully reworked sharing/mapping of the three folders required and insured Read Only is disabled (check marks greyed out). I have checked the SimConnect setup - three files in the right folders (AI Traffic test showing connected to Simulator Receive 2) and insured port 500 is open on both boxes. The result is below. FSX screen scroll shows "Initial Display Complete". My difficulty is I do not know what it all means so I do not know where to begin to try to fix it. As always, all help appreciated.Peter.18:53:12: Logging Initialized18:53:12: XEngine v1.0.0.332 Copyright

Hi,On your first run of ASX did you do this:ASX needs to know the location of the main Flight Simulator X installation path as well as the FSX Appdata path. In addition, you may want to load FSX flight plans on the FSX computer into ASX on the client. Since your shares are already configured you simply need to point ASX to these locations. To do this, simply run ASX. ASX will identify that FSX is not installed on the client machine and automatically ask for and save the correct network share locations.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

I don't recall that happening with the ASX installation. I certainly did it with earlier versions of the program. Should I try uninstalling and reinstalling?Peter.

To complete this I should just report the problem was indeed in the file sharing. By reinstalling ASX and pointing it to the two folders on the FS box as required, after rechecking the sharing/mapping of those folders, the program works very well. Thank Jim for your help in sorting this out. Peter.
