Hi Bill, Jan and the group, I have a question on just how to load the R4D into my FS2002. I have V4.01 of the MAAM CD ROM, the best FS package yet. There are also two other files: (1) r4d_2k2.zip (2) r4dv40up.zip My question is: Do I install just item (1) after V4.01 or do I install item (2) then item (1)? As I have already installed V4.01 and item (1) can I now just install item (2) or will I need to start over again in order to end up with the proper sequence? Finally, what a lovely visual and flying model this R4D is. You guys did one heck of a job. I'm waiting for my B-25 CD to arrive but I understand, due to the recent snowstorms, that it was shipped via dogsled.Thanks MAAMRegards

Sure thing...Install the Visual Model Upgrade over your v4 R4D, then apply the 2k2 Upgrade. Easy as pie.Thanks for the kind words about 'BT'. As you will see when it gets to you (we use only the fastest, best fed, and eager dogs to pull our delivery sleds) ;-) that it flies as good as it looks, thanks to Rob Young's genius at making an FD do what the book says it should. He makes all those lovely polygons Jan strings together actually fly!Then, lest you forget, it's Fred Banting, our brilliant programmer, who makes all those pretty textures, and bitmaps in the panels I produce actually do something other than just sit there. Just because Jan and I are the ones out front, here in the forum, Fred and Rob should not be forgotten - not that two such FS luminaries ever will be, but having once been in a team where a single member tended to take credit for the body of work by the whole team, I do not want to see that ever happen again! ;-) We are Rambow, Visser, Banting, and Young (sorta rock-band sounding, eh? :-) MAAM-SIM. The order of the names is chronological - the order of joining the team, not an indication of importance. A guy could not ask for better team mates and partners. I just want to thank them publicly. Hi Bill: Thanks for answering his question as I was about to ask the same thing, I have reformated the HD and was about to install the R4D again (so I can steal the sounds till the CD's arive, lol). I have 3 copies of the R4D CD's (I'm a REAL supporter of MAAM ! ) how can I tell from the CD which is the most current version?? I have the early CD and then a later one after the visual update (I think).. Mike B.
