February 25, 200323 yr Hi Bill: Dogs must be resting, still hasn't shown up here, but I digress.. I use multi monitors here (up to five depending on A/C ) and was wondering if I can have the bomb drivers view active at the same time as the main panel?? In othere words is the view a "window" or another "view" which will require another copy of FS running. That would be too cool to have that view running at the same time... Been flying into N57 and it's pretty tough to get in there alright, but have made it every time so far, gonna need new brakes though... I can't wait to get the real CD and offer to host a multiplayer session with a few guys to do some formation on line flying. Anyone up for that? I have a DSL connection so speed shud be ok.. Mike B.
February 25, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hi MikeI don't know how multi-monitor set-ups work, myself, but I know who does ... Mel "Cap'n Tarmack" Ott was one of our beta testers and he has a system to die for. Perhaps he can weigh in here and help you out. What I CAN tell you, since I'm the panel designer, is that the 2D bombardier's view is Fixed Window37, designated as VIEW_FORWARD_UP_WINDOWS=37 which is activated by the forward position of your point-of-view hat-switch. You can take it from there, but I agree it would be cool to have it showing all the time, and I can tell you it's great fun flying from down there in the nose. Landings are spectacular, and it's perfect for sight-seeing. It would also be neat to have the rear view, from the top turret on a screen. That's another fixed window, obviously, as are the two waist gun positions. February 26, 200323 yr "I don't know how multi-monitor set-ups work, myself"Hi Bill: I guess I should have asked the question differently. If the bomb drivers view is up and you right click in the view do you get a blue border around the view and are able to drag it around? If you drag it a bit is the main view still underneath or does the bomb view replace the main panel...In other words, will SHIFT-SOMETHING bring up the bomb view? Mike B.
February 26, 200323 yr Commercial Member Now that I can handle ... Sorry, a fixed window is a "view" and replaces the panel "view". It's not draggable or sizeable within the program.Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, and Younghttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
February 26, 200323 yr Ok, well then it looks like I need to network the laptop into FS to do that... No biggie.. By the way, still no CD's, bummer.. The dogs didn't happen to get side tracked by a fire hydrant did they?? MIke B.
