March 1, 200323 yr Maybe I missed it somewhere in the documentation, but is there a way to feather an engine in this model. I tried shutting down one engine, but I could not find the feathing switch anywhere on the panel.Overall, this is the most fantastic model I have seen produced for the MS Flight Sim environment. It is visually stunning, and it flies fantastically with great framerates. Congrats to the entire development team. Keep em coming!Final thought: Although I haven't tried this yet, but can you move through the entire aircraft in virtual mode. I would love to go up in the nose and have a full view all around while the aircraft is flying. If so, I can't wait to try it when I get home from work. Thanks for developing this marvelous aircraft!Keith
March 1, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hi Keith,If you read the user's manual, you did indeed miss it. The feathering buttons are on the starter and switch sub-panel - big red buttons you can't miss. You will find them disussed in that section of the manual. The blades do not actually pivot to feather, but that complicated animation may be something Jan adds later on - one never can tell ;-) There are actually several effects and features we are thinking of adding in future, free, upgrade packs.Seems you also missed the considerable section of the manual devoted to the Virtual Cockpit and Cabin, including quite a bit on moving about in it! Go look, my friend. You will find you can indeed move anywhere from the nose (actually forward and outside of it - but that's a magic trick ;-) all the way back to the front of the bomb bay. The VC does not extend past the bomb bay, but you can "occupy" the waist gun positions, as well as the bombardier's and upper turret gunner's posts, by way of the 2-D, photo-real views. March 2, 200323 yr Thanks Bill! When I got home I just started playing with all the movement keys in the VC mode, and sure enough, I can move everywhere within the plane. Very nice!Don't know how I missed the feathering switches, but then again, I'm 58 and the eyes aren't what they used to be. I guess I have much more reading to do.Anyway, I am thoroughy enjoying this aircraft. It doesn't come any better than this!Keith
March 3, 200323 yr Hi folks!Just a follow-up to let everyone know that feathering works great. Although the prop blades themselves don't turn "yet", the prop does stop deader than a door nail. It was great bringing the BT home with one engine dead, but steering on the ground proved rather difficult with only one engine. I haven't quite mastered ground maneuvering with one engine yet. Back to the manual!Keith
