March 6, 200323 yr I noticed the training video and they trun on the mag switches and run full mixture before cranking, in your videos, you guys leave mags off and mixture off. You count 8 blades and then turn mags on and keep priming, when the engine starts up then you guys push mixture rich. Why is there a different starting procedure, is it safer, better for the engines. I have noticed that in fuel injected engines. Some state you start with mixture cutoff and when it starts then you advance the mixture, while others say you start with mixture full in.Thanks for the future [email protected]
March 6, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hi Adam,From an FS standpoint, I'll assume you read the user's manual and it's discussion about the programming aspects of this. So, talking about the real 'BT' and the starting procedure as Russ Strine demontrates for us in the videos, I will let him answer that, himself. I know he cruises the forum, but I'll try to talk him into posting a response to your very good question. Until then, hang on .... :-hangno,no, not that way! ;-)Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, and Younghttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
