March 6, 200323 yr Hello B25 Team, first sorry for me bad English, because i am from Germanyduring flight i open sometimes panel like the radio stack or the throttle Panel. When i am clicking to force speed or set the pitch sometimes the hole panel silde up or down on the screen, do you know what i mean? Is it possibel to fix the additionel panel so, that i can
March 6, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hi Frank,Your English is fine. 1. The sliding panel pop-ups is a common trait to all FS panels, which are windows, and not unique to BT. You can actually drag the whole panel out of position, in fact. Just be sure you have the little hand cursor before you drag a knob and you'll have no problem.2. The fuel pump loop is a known glitch we can do nothing about. It's not the loop itself that is bad, it's the way it's handled in FS.3. Besides the kneeboard checklists - and reference pages - you'll find printable versions of them in 'BT's Documents folder.4. It sure is. Typically, WW2 Army planes had ASI's that registered in MPH, whereas Navy aircraft had knots. If you want to know how fast you are going in knots, call up the little red numbers by hitting Shift + Z. You can also find conversion calculators on the net.5. Thanks. !! We would welcome you at MAAM. March 7, 200323 yr Commercial Member If there is a way, I don't know it. Every panel I have ever seen can be dragged vertically. Anyone else know a trick? Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, and Younghttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
March 7, 200323 yr FSUIPC, Under "Technical", has an option to prevent cockpit resizing and moving... Might that help?Ian P.:-halo
March 8, 200323 yr great Idea - tonight i flying VATSIM OneSky Event - then i am testing these Idea!By the way, Bill, is it possibel to create an fx-file to show the flames coming out while runup? I can remember that one guy do it for other old airplanes!?Question to the motor of BT - i saw the red bull B25 in Berlin last year and i can remember (a littel bit) that i see during the flight light dark smoke (exhaust) comming out of the motor - and i am sure it was not a fire ;-))Is it worng or not?Frank
March 8, 200323 yr Hi Frank...I think Bill has answered this one elsewhere. The team decided not to impliment flame effects from the exhaust because, although they are clearly visible at night from BT, they are almost invisible during the day. The FS effect was far too visible during the day so they didn't put it in.With respect to the smoke, the Red Bull B25, in common with most flying, has been fitted with lengthened and commoned exhaust pipes, resulting in a single stack from each engine. This will concentrate the exhaust to come from one location. On BT, the original short (and far noisier!) stacks are fitted, so the exhaust smoke will be distributed around the engine and not so visible. If I'm wrong about either of those, I'm sure Bill will crop up shortly and correct me! ;-)Ian P.:-halo
March 9, 200323 yr Commercial Member Ian's right about the exhaust arrangement of Red Bull vs Briefing Tine, but these big radials eat a prodigious amount of oil, regardless of the exhaust plumbing. I know, I helped pass the five-gallon cans up to Tim to refill the tanks at Frederick in the hundred degree heat this year! Burning oil equals smoke.
