Hi Ken,Thanks for the work. Anything and everything on the south side of the field. A lot of shots of the big WWII hangar where our C-119 is being restored would be most appreciated. One thing - for the pictures to be really useful in making textures, they need to be square on to the buildings' various sides, not from obliques angles. The latter are useful for establishing shots to show the layout of the building to the designer, but not directly as textures. Our scenery, like our planes, will be photo-real. When I shoot a building I ususally stand about 10 to 20 yards away, depending on it's size, more for something as big as the hangar, and shoot a series of overlapping pictures with my sight line perpendicular to the buildings wall. I move around all sides of a building covering all of it's surfaces, then take some establishing shots from different angles showing the entire structure, and finally, pace it off for size. I still have a 30" inch normal pace from my days as an ROTC competition drill platoon guide, 40 years ago, which is almost as good as a surveyor's tape ;-)If you like, I can make up a package of pictures for you of those I took of the MAAM buildings, but I think you get the idea. The problem you will face on that side of the field, though, is you can't just walk around the big hangar or the pax terminal,as you please. This requires AOA (airport operations area)access credentials or escort. So, either you can go talk to the Ops people and tell them what you are up to and request their kind assistance, or just do what you can from the public side of the buildings and leave the rest to Russ and me, after the bustle of WW2 Weekend is behind us.Let me know when you will be at MAAM next weekend as I may be going up again at that time, especially if the weather is crappy for kayaking. ;-)In any event, thanks for the pics and I'll see you at the show. If you want to, I can use you as a stand-in flight instructor at the show when the regulars are otherwise occupied, which happens quite often. The vast majority of air show goers have never seen FS in action, so it takes patience and the ability to explain things simply so they can fly a short pattern in either the R4D or BT. We'll have two Athlon 1800 systems set up there. You'll also spend a lot of time politely - always politely, fending off kids and the parents who want to use us as a baby-sitter arcade while they go watch the planes fly by! That ain't gonna happen. :-) Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, and Younghttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif
