May 31, 200323 yr Gentlemen:I just received my Briefing Time CD in the mail and installed it right away. I knew from this forum and the reviews I've read that I was in for a treat, but nothing prepared me for the virtual cockpit and cabin! This is the finest VC modelling work I've ever seen in FS2002. It's easily comparable, and perhaps better than, the cockpits in IL2. It's the first FS2k2 VC that looks right when you switch to it. All the others I've ever used require position and zoom adjustments, but this one just works. It's also clear enough to fly without the aid of the 2D panel except when accessing mouse click points. Fantastic! My first flight was a real joy and I'm looking forward to flying her more. Now here's my question: I could've sworn that on the demo, you could actually watch the props feather when you hit the feather switches on the startup panel. After landing from my inaugural flight with the CD version, I feathered the props but they did not appear to move. In fact, they didn't move with the Pitch levers either. Is this a fluke, or did I do somethign wrong, or is this a feature that was in the demo but for whatever reason didn't carry into the final CD?Thanks for you assistance and for this wonderful bird,Philip.
June 1, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hi Philip. Thanks for the rave review. Tell all your friends. :-)Feathering prop blades? Wish we did have them. You must have been flying too high without oxygen when you thought you saw them in the demo.
