June 12, 200322 yr I can't believe Bill hasn't posted any news/pictures or information about the MAAM weekend. Fingers broken Bill?? MIke B.
June 13, 200322 yr Judging from the rain at my house over that weekend, his computer may just be drying off around now...Derek
June 13, 200322 yr He has two whole packages of pictures... I posted some a while ago on Friday... when we had good weather.http://forums.avsim.com/dcboard.php?az=sho...53176&mode=full:-jumpyhttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg-------------------Kenneth W. June 13, 200322 yr Commercial Member Sorry about the delay. Had to unpack all the computer equipment, set everything back up, and attend to a bunch of other things. But I am working on a full press release now and hope to have it posted this evening. I have scads of pictures, as Ken said, but I'll sort through them for the best, culling out those of relatives climbing around inside BT. ;-)In a nutshell, although the only things flying Saturday were the virtual R4D and BT, we sold twice as many CD's as any previous show and had some real heroes of WW2 fly our planes. A great time was had by all and thanks to everyone who braved the rain and mud to come out. Sunday cleared up and the air show went on, so it was not a total wash out, but it really hurt the gate collections overall. Despite the weather, it was great show and we'll tell you all about it in the PR. June 13, 200322 yr Great news Bill. I ALMOST came up there, had things worked out 24 hours earlier I would have made the dash up there with the equipment I sent you the picture of. I didn't want to take the chance on coming up and you not having room/need for my setup so I chickened out... Next year hopefully or the next "event" you guys put on maybe I can make that. I have this nice "jet" console but can't seem to take the 2 engine prop throttle quad (6 lever) out of it.. Love BT with this setup. Bill, you MUST come this way and fly the beast, you'll throw rocks at your joystick after flying this. Mike B. To refresh your memory Bill, here is the link to my setup.http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/community.dl...view=thumbs&ck=
June 14, 200322 yr Why was the real B-25 grounded? I was up on Sunday and was expecting to see it fly.
June 14, 200322 yr Commercial Member There was a mistake by the A&P mechanic in the installation of the left engine that requires a fairly extensive tear-down and reassembly. You were not nearly as disappointed as the MAAM-SIM helpers, including my brother, brother-in-law, and BT beta tester Tim Westnutt who were all supposed to fly on her. Tim flew all the way from the Netherlands for the opportunity. She should be up and flying for her next air show appearance - we hope!Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, Young, Womack, and Hamblyhttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
