November 3, 200322 yr Commercial Member It is with great sadness that I pass on news I just received from MAAM President Russ Strine by phone. Pete Malashevitz, the MAAM Program Coordinator, has passed away very suddenly of a massive heart attack. Pete was a good personal friend and the man who handed me the keys to the R4D those years ago when I first walked in the door at MAAM looking for a DC-3 panel to photograph. Pete's loss will leave a huge hole in the heart of the organization, as he was the day to day conductor of operations in the office and master organizer of the World War II Weekend show and Planes, Trains and Automobiles, as well as the other functions run by MAAM. When I learn of funeral arrangements in the next few days, I will pass this on.Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, Young, Womack, and Hamblyhttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
November 3, 200322 yr I'm sorry to hear that, Bill. My sympathy goes out to Pete's family, and to you and all his other friends both inside and outside the MAAM team.Jaap Verduijn.

November 3, 200322 yr Yes sad news indeed. I had the pleasure of knowing Pete personally and I liked him a lot. He will be sorely missed by all at the museum as well as the BT beta team.Timhttp://www.spottedantelope.com/bwomack/ima...aam-sim_sig.gif
