Problems with BT FS9 upgrades

Featured Replies

I've recently installed the BT-FS9 upgrade, but am experiencing the following problems:The original green BT livery now is just a matte gray, with no lettering. All panel views, except the main pilot's side 2D and the VC, appear on a black background (not allowing the main panel to show through).ATC, co-pilot callout, flap and gear sounds seem OK, but engine sounds are missing. No tire smoke is visible on landing.Any suggestions?

Sounds like you goofed up the installation, mate! Yours is the first report of any sort of trouble at all. I suggest you try a reinstallation of the original BT, following the instructions exactly, then apply the patch again. You are not trying this with the trial version, are you? The upgrade will only work with the full version of BT for FS2002.Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, Young, Womack, and Hamblyhttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif

Same problem here. But I will try re-installing.

Thanks to Bill's response, my installation works perfectly now. If you're impatient like me, you probably just installed the FS9 update without full checking the read me file, and therefore without actually reinstalling your original "Briefing Time" package in the Flight Simulator 9 folder. After I did that, and reinstalled the FS9 update, everything worked great.
