January 28, 200422 yr Hi All,:-)Happy New Year to all especially Bill and the MAAM team.I am still using FS2002 and have R4D and BT installed. Recently I noticed there are two new versions, bt_bn_9.zip and b25j_fal.zip.I have downloaded the former but as yet not found the other. The BN version when unzipped ends in an exe file which wants to extract the files to FS9 (naturally) but I understood the download could be used in FS2k2. I cannot see how to do this. Have I downloaded the correct file? If so how do you I change the install for FS2k2.Can anyone direct me to the other version, it is not in Flightsim.com?Cheers, Barrie
January 29, 200422 yr The b25j_fal.zip is available at flightsim.com:FS2002 - FS2002 AircraftFS2002 North American B-25J Gunship ModelName: b25j_fal.zip Size: 12,716,418 Date: 11-08-2003 Downloads: 919 FS2002 North American B-25J Gunship Model add-on for 'Briefing Time'. Requires previous installation of full FS2002 Briefing Time B-25 Mitchell package. Installs a solid-nose, "strafer" model equipped with 14 forward firing guns. Depicts a plane of the 489th BS, 345th BG. Full BT package can be obtained from www.maam.org. By MAAM-SIM, Bill Rambow, Jan Visser, Fred Banting, Rob Young, Bill Womack, and Mike Hambly. The basic donationware package for FS2002 is available from the MAAM-Sim site: http://www.maam.org/maam_sim.html as either a CD (the best option) or as a download (http://www.maam.org/flightsim/b25/bt_6.html) The bt_bm_9.zip is the Bare-metal update for FS2004. The FS2002 version is this one:FS2002 - FS2002 AircraftFS2002 B-25J Briefing Time Bare-MetalName: bt_metal.zip Size: 7,186,622 Date: 04-13-2003 Downloads: 1290 FS2002 B-25J Briefing Time Bare-Metal Textures. Requires prior installation of the full version of the B-25J Mitchell Briefing Time package from www.maam.org. This highly reflective bare-metal texture set is the first of a series of free liveries by Jan Visser for the Mid Atlantic Air Museum's add-on for FS2002. By MAAM-SIM: Bill Rambow, Jan Visser, Fred Banting and Rob Young. The excellent range of additional liveries provided by Stephan Demmelmeier work with both sim versions.Best wishes,AlastairEdit:I see that you already have BT installed - however I hope that the above helps clear up thing for others who are still not sure !
January 30, 200422 yr Hi again Alistair,I have downloaded both from Flightsim .com and installed the Bare Metal version ok.However after a lengthy download (12Mb)the other one b25j_fal.zip still turns out to be for FS9. I should have viewed the readme first. So is there a version of the Falcon for FS2002? Obviously someone has put this in the wrong section at Flightsin .com. I'm surprised this hasn't been spotted before.Regards, Barrie
February 2, 200422 yr Yes, unfortunately it does seem that the Solid-nose varient is for FS2004 only. I did know this but the above mistake managed to get through my logic-filter ! Sorry.I don't know whether MAAM-Sim would consider a FS2002 Solid-nose version if there was sufficient demand.Cheers,Alastair
