June 2, 200422 yr I have'nt flown the B25 in a while. But I noticed that the engine sounds in the cokpit are a lot louder than when flying outside the AC in spot view. Actually litsening from outside I can barely hear them. Is this normal?Bill M Bill McIntyre Asus StrixB650E-F Gamer, AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D, Corsair Titanium DDR5 64GB, Samsung 990 PRO-4TB M.2, (4) 2TB SSD's, Corsair H1150i liquid cooler, RTX 2080TI Founders Edition, (2) LG 34" HD Curved Monitor, Sound Blaster Audigy X, 1Kw PC Power & Cooling Power Supply, Corsair Obsidian Full tower Case. June 5, 200421 yr Two things you can check - the position of the sound sliders in the FS menu. They can have a big effect on the relative volumesAlso, check in spot view you don't have an artificially long viewpoint - press `backspace` to resore 1.0x zoom and see if the airplane is a long way away in the spot view window. If so you need to change that physical distance form the sot view menu, as the volume heard in SV is related to view distance.Hope this helps.Allcott
June 7, 200421 yr Author Thanks for the reply. For some reason all the B25's are shown a long way away in spot view. Maybe that's my problem. Is there a way to bring them in closer in spot view and stay that way by default?Bill M Bill McIntyre Asus StrixB650E-F Gamer, AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D, Corsair Titanium DDR5 64GB, Samsung 990 PRO-4TB M.2, (4) 2TB SSD's, Corsair H1150i liquid cooler, RTX 2080TI Founders Edition, (2) LG 34" HD Curved Monitor, Sound Blaster Audigy X, 1Kw PC Power & Cooling Power Supply, Corsair Obsidian Full tower Case. June 8, 200421 yr Author Thanks againDo you know what determines the spot view distance when an aircraft is loaded. I noticed that different AC loads at different distances, in spot view. There have to be something that FS reads to determine the distance to display the AC.Bill M Bill McIntyre Asus StrixB650E-F Gamer, AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D, Corsair Titanium DDR5 64GB, Samsung 990 PRO-4TB M.2, (4) 2TB SSD's, Corsair H1150i liquid cooler, RTX 2080TI Founders Edition, (2) LG 34" HD Curved Monitor, Sound Blaster Audigy X, 1Kw PC Power & Cooling Power Supply, Corsair Obsidian Full tower Case. June 8, 200421 yr I think the starting point is defined in the .mdl - you can also see where it is by looking at the aircraft in the spinning selection menu.Allcott
June 8, 200421 yr Author Thanks againWhat and where is the spinning selection menu??Bill M Bill McIntyre Asus StrixB650E-F Gamer, AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D, Corsair Titanium DDR5 64GB, Samsung 990 PRO-4TB M.2, (4) 2TB SSD's, Corsair H1150i liquid cooler, RTX 2080TI Founders Edition, (2) LG 34" HD Curved Monitor, Sound Blaster Audigy X, 1Kw PC Power & Cooling Power Supply, Corsair Obsidian Full tower Case. June 8, 200421 yr The basic pull-down aircraft selection menu from within FS. If the aircaft is `far away` in the picture it will be `far away` in spot view when the sim opens. At least it gives a clue as to what to expect the first time. After that when you launch FS from a pre-saved flight you get whatever options you programmed before saving the flight.Allcott
