New GMax Version

Featured Replies

I received my copy of the new R4D/C-47 released after the 4th of July. This new GMax version as I understand it is the latest version. I am not sure of the Version Number. Can someone enlighten me?Thanks,Jesse

This is only the first GMAX version, so it must be Version 1!Although the R4D-6 might be at Version 7, the silver painted version is probably at 5, or maybe 3, (or maybe that's the other way round)the DC-3 is definitely at Version 1. Or it might be 2.Hope this helps ;) Allcott

I presume you are asking because of the patch, and that you are talking about the CD "edition" number? Let me explain. As we have discovered and fixed the errors that are now all consolidated in the Service Patch #1, now available from the main AVSIM Library, the CD has gone through 3 editions. The only place this number will show up, if at all, is in the title of the CD when you load it in your CD-ROM and look at it in My Computer. You should see R4D_DC3_CD1 (or 2 or 3)beside that drive. All three of these edition changes took place during my stay at MAAM before and after the World War 2 Weekend Show where I burned about 800 CD's in the motorhome in a few days. Since the patch is required for all editions prior to 4, and I have not burned any 4's, yet, you need the patch. Simple as that. I'll start burning those in the next few days and they will begin shipping once the remaining 3's are exhausted. Edition 4 CD's, which have been patched, in effect, will have the edition number noted in the read_1st.txt. Thanks, Bill from one USAF type to another. I know your dad was from my WWII era, and I'm certain he would have been very proud of the work you are doing.Blue Skies,Jesse
